Back on Track!

Today was the perfect day to start working at my goals! Thanks to good old Martin Luther King Jr., I had the day off. It took me all day but I got the house cleaned, the laundry done, breakfast/snacks and dinner cooked.
Well, Brandon and I have officially decided to use cloth diapers. I met an awesome gal who explained to me how much more simple and efficient cloth diapers are than they used to be. Brandon and I discussed it and decided that it was worth a go! For a little more effort, it should save us a small fortune. Well, on Sunday I went to a cloth diaper exchange and got some pretty cute diapers for a pretty good deal. I'm excited! I washed them today and started crocheting an insert for putting in the diaper overnight. I'm not very good at crocheting, but I can do so in a straight line, which all I need to do for an insert! Also, if I drop some stitches it's literally going inside a diaper so it doesn't have to be pretty. It should be good practice on basic stitching and then I can hopefully crochet cute baby stuff. =]

Food and Nutrition
So today I made these awesome granola bars. I'm really excited about them because they are super delicious and way more affordable than actually buying granola bars! They are packed with nutritious ingredients such as raisins, oats, and flax seed.
I plan to get the recipe up for you tomorrow, so look for that!
I made my meal plan and shopping list and plan to go to the store tomorrow. I originally planned on shopping today, but I just got worn out and didn't want to go. I had the ingredients for lasagna, veggies, and some garlic bread so we did with that tonight.
Okay, so this is going to sound like a lazy cop-out but cleaning the house and doing all the laundry today seriously exhausted me. I'm guessing it's a part of the pregnancy or at least hoping that I haven't let myself get that out of shape, but there was absolutely no way I could do anything else physical today.

James 2:15-17
15 If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food,16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? 17 Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.

This is a passage that we discussed in the home study on Sunday night. I felt really convicted by this because I am so often so selfish. I fall so short of helping others and am more apt to say "I'll pray for you" than to actually think of helping anyone out. I get so self-absorbed and just think that I'm too busy to meet anyone's needs other than my own and those of my husband. I really need to be more heavenly minded.
